Simply put, smoke trail photography captures the trail a column of smoke makes when rising from a lit incense stick. Displaced by air, the columns of smoke differ each from another as they glide and drift – buffeted by small currents. This produces their uniqueness.
The human eye may not be able to see the unique curls and swirls the trail makes, but a camera can. If the trails are captured on a digital camera, their momentum is frozen in time.
Without the appropriate background those trails may appear bland, dull or whitish in appearance. Once captured, you can enhance the basic trail using photo-editing software, often producing rewarding, beautiful, fine geometrical lines. You can see this in the works-of-art shown in the attached images.
We can teach you the techniques and processes involved, and the correct equipment/ tools to use when making these amazing smoke trails - regardless of the weather, or the time of the day. Once taught, you can use your own room to recreate what you have learned with us.
